Analysis + The Opportunity

Before officially being hired I made an internal analysis of the business. The analysis was something I’ve created to better understand the brand from the inside out, initially.

It looks at where the company was at, from marketing materials and design systems to product positioning, and explore how it can level up from there.

Starting with a Brand Guideline

Confident. Practical. Premium.
Switch Boss speaks like a seasoned builder; clear, capable, and straight to the point. I’ve combined high-quality design with real-world functionality, delivering products that look sharp.

Initial Campaign

The first campaign will always be the tricky one, as it’s the first campaign to embody the brand’s new look while maintaining the vision and not confusing the customers.

In this campaign, I’ve only iterated and revamped on what was currently working for Switch Boss, optimizing;

  1. Brand Guidelines

  2. Email Flows

  3. Social Media

  4. Meta Ads

  5. Google Ads

That led to monthly campaigns

Every month we launched different campaigns, I structured them so that each month will showcase what I called ‘inside-the-box’ and ‘outside-the-box’ campaigns.

Inside the box - campaign efforts that reiterate on what works with the brand’s history and data. These follow current industry practices, and what data suggest we put out there.

Outside the box - campaigns where we think of new marketing strategies, themed-campaigns, new launches, and etc.

Transformative and successful email campaigns

Aside from google and meta ads as our primary marketing revenue driver, emails campaigns were very cost-effective. The company only had email flows and a list. They almost never launched any email campaigns, which was a big missed opportunity.

We set a goal to reach at least 20% attributed revenue for emails by the end of a month. This was not a 1 month thing, to be effective we needed data on what works with the brand and its customers.

Trade Materials

Shop Display Campaign

This was an outside-the-box idea that we, the owner and me, thought of. We wanted to expand our B2B efforts in a ‘package’ form. We thought the best way to do this was by introducing a shop display stand to current trade partners. Photos used below are real-life images

After-sales Materials

One of the constant developments we did was to ensure that customer experience will always be on top. I designed and incorporated some ideas in the campaigns, like UX experience in places of the website. A wiring guide pamphlet for every order made, and even full website pages revamping the old troubleshooting and guides pages.

Seasonal Campaign Assets Example

Seasonal campaigns we’re a bit different design-wise. It allows the brand to be more playful in typography, colors, and vibe depending on the seasons the assets were made for, but also remembering that the messaging and imagery is still consistent with the brand.

What assets were used to build all these?

Plain white background product photos. The company didn’t have state of the art camera or professional shots & studios. Creativity and manipulation skills were what I heavily relied on.
